Montgelin

Is a delightful cluster of centuries-old sandstone houses, Ann's being a converted farmhouse. You will also find granges, barns for wine vats, a well and the remains of a bread oven. All around stretch the renowned Beaujolais vineyards , with Vaulx en Beaujolais the village of "Clochemerle" fame a short drive away.
The whole area has been officially given the title of "the golden stone country" and the varied hues of pale and deep ochre put one in mind of the soft light of Tuscany.

Ann's garden is full of scents, the air does indeed "smell wooingly here". Here you can linger over breakfast, take it on the terrace or in the farmhouse round the long rustic table laden with home-made jams, special country bread, freshly pressed fruit juice and other "gourmandises".
